Statement of Faith

  1. In the verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Cor. 2:13)

  2. In the existence of one true God who revealed Himself to this world as the Father, as the Son, and as the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 1:18-20; 2 Cor 5:19; Gal 3:20; 1 Tim 3:16)

  3. In the Savior of Men, the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man. (Luke 1:30-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 9:6)

  4. In the creation, test and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis, his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness. (Romans 5:12, 18)

  5. In the Gospel of the Grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day for our justification.(1 Cor. 15:1-4; Romans 4:25)

  6. In the salvation of sinners by grace alone, through faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ on our behalf upon the Cross of Calvary. (Romans 5:1; Eph. 2:8-9; Col. 1:14; Heb. 9:12)

  7. We believe in baptism in water by immersion as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 8:16; Col. 3:17; Mark 16:15-16)

  8. In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the scriptural evidence; namely, speaking in other tongues. (Acts 2:4; 8:14-17; Gal. 3:14-15; Acts 19:1-6)

  9. In the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians, being exercised and practiced as manifest in the early Church. (1 Cor. 12 – 14)

  10. In the Lord’s memorial, commonly called supper for believers (1 Cor. 11:25-32)

  11. In the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine Healing in its many aspects as practiced by the early Church. (James 5:14; Isaiah 53:4-5; Mark 16:17)

  12. In the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever. (John 10:27-29; Rev. 20:10-15; 21:8)

  13. In the spirit filled life, a life of separation from the world, and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith. (Eph. 5:18; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 7:1)

  14. In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church as well as His return to earth to set up the kingdom. (John 14: 2-3; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Acts 1:1; Rev. 1:7; Like 1:32)

  15. In the sanctity of marriage, as a life long exclusive commitment between one man and one woman. (Gen. 2:24,25)
